A series of large tents for the Denver Botanic Gardens reconfigures the 1966 Boettcher Conservatory’s iconic diagrid structure. The tents, which are located along the west edge of the gardens’ amphitheater, can be open or covered for various events and weather conditions. Two variations on the conservatory’s arched diagrid are the basis of two different design studies, each with its own forms and construction systems.
