A 2016 UIC Architecture exhibition asked faculty to reinvent one of their projects by pairing an image or drawing of their own with four complimentary images by other people. Comparing a Guggenheim Helsinki rendering to four identical photos of Venturi Scott Brown's Western Plaza foregrounded the role of repetition in the two projects, plus three additional similarities: both projects are replicas of their respective contexts, out of scale, and appear to be solid stone masses with no interior. The show was organized by Julia Di Castri.
